Meredith Beal & Friends a Hit at BFMA Concert

Nairobi, Kenya -– Meredith Beal & Friends closed the show opening night at the Broadcast Film & Music Africa 2014 concert held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi. The show also featured Black Progression Band, Izz Adid, Herléo Muntu, Danger’s Trio and Dokta DJ.

MB & Friends’ set started with a lively harmonica rendition of Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita” followed by Beal’s harmonica arrangement of Michael Jackson’s “Liberian Girl.” Beal’s classic performance of Mariah Carey’s “Hero” was the highlight for many, while others preferred his version of “That’s the Way of the World,” Earth Wind & Fire’s famous anthem and still others raved about “I Believe I Can Fly” -- R. Kelly’s hit. The show ended with everyone dancing to Meredith’s harmonica version of Pharrel William’s viral hit “Happy.” The Friends consisted of George Nzuki on drums, Moses Methungu on keyboards, Danger on bass, Miriam Ayoo and Marian Akiny singing backing vocals.

The show was broadcasted live over the Internet at Pax Stero TV Network & the Soto Koto TV Network.
